Keeping track of expenses
I’m terribly disorganized sometimes. I have a hard time keeping track of what and where. This is why I downloaded Copernic Desktop Search months back; to keep track of my computer files.
And when it comes to money… Agh! I can fill out tax forms… but keeping track of where it goes? I can’t remember. Now some people use Quicken or MS Money as their personal finance software, but those are a bit expensive.
I’ve found new software instead: PiggyBob! The name may be silly, but I’m already in love with this thing. You can add income and expenses to any day and it will show you a chart of income/expenses. For that day, for a month, a whole year. Whatever.
You can input income and expenses by name/description ( ‘Nordstrom’s – Million Dollar necklace’ ) and add them to a category ( ‘Things I shouldn’t have bought’ ). You make up your own names & categories.
The interface is really easy to understand and everything is labeled nicely. The only thing I don’t like is that the calendar shows the week beginning on Monday, instead of Sunday, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to change that at the moment… but that’s really a minor quibble.
The first 30 days of PiggyBog is free. After that, it’s only $19.99. Good price for good software.
I’m definitely buying it when the 30 days are up, to help keep track of my PPP income.
